Rev. Chris Bramich, Pastor
Christopher Bramich was born in Charleston, SC, but spent most of his childhood in northern New Jersey. His family moved to Overland Park, KS while Chris was in middle school.
Chris attended college at the University of Kansas where he double majored in psychology and communications. During his college years, he became certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and volunteered in several hospital emergency rooms. Chris also served as a telephone and walk-in crisis counselor for four years, dealing with suicide, rape and abuse. To fulfill a requirement for a child psychology class, Chris volunteered at a local Catholic elementary school in the extended care program and also later worked as a preschool teacher.
As Chris was pursuing a dream to enter medical school, the Lord intervened and called him into the ministry. Chris enrolled at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis and received a Masters of Divinity (MDiv) and a Masters of Sacred Theology (STM). Chris also spent a summer studying at Jerusalem University College in Israel.
Chris did his vicarage at First Lutheran Church in Gainesville, Florida. His first call was to serve as the Assistant Pastor and Headmaster of Messiah Lutheran Church and school in Keller, TX. Pastor Bramich also taught Latin at Messiah Lutheran Classical Academy.
Pastor Bramich later accepted the call to become the pastor of Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church in Haslet, TX where He feels blessed to serve.
Pastor Bramich believes the church should have an active presence in the community. He enjoys sharing Christ through evangelism, teaching and acts of service. In his spare time, he enjoys international travel, volleyball, piano and reading.
